At Coin Jar, your privacy is our top priority. We designed this application to help you focus and track your time, not to track you. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect and how we use it.
1. Information Collection & Usage
Coin Jar operates primarily as an offline-first application. We do NOT collect, transmit, or store any of your personal financial data, time tracking records, or project details on our servers. All core application data is stored locally on your device's internal storage.
2. Local Storage
When you create jars, track time, or calculate taxes, that data is securely stored within the local SQLite database on your mobile device. If you uninstall the app without backing up, your data will be permanently deleted.
3. Cloud Sync
For Android devices, we offer a Google Drive Cloud Sync feature. For iOS devices, data is automatically backed up via iCloud Backup. When you authorize Coin Jar to access your Google account (on Android), it only requests permission to manage its own specific backup file ('coin_jar_backup.db'). We cannot read, modify, or delete any other files in your Google Drive. The backup file resides securely within your own cloud storage account.
5. Your Rights
Since we do not hold your data on our servers, you have absolute control. You can delete all your data at any time by simply uninstalling the application from your device.
